Do I have to take my car to the dealer for the warranty to be in effect? You do not have to take your car to the dealer for the warranty to be in effect. Any work you pay for can be done at the shop of your choice. You do need to keep a record of the work done on your car in case you have to prove that the service was done on schedule. |
