While vehicle maintenance and repair is never pleasant (it always costs too much), going to the Model Garage is always pleasant! The knowlegable folks there always make you feel welcome and they are genuinely interested in what your car needs. My wife tells me she does not feel intimidated when she brings her car there. They do not make her feel stupid for not knowing what is wrong, it's enough that she has a concern about how the car is driving. Don and crew are great, they have solved many problems that other mechanics could not diagnos. Thumbs up to the Model Garage!!!

My experience at Model Garage could not have been better. They're incredibly friendly, communicative, low stress and competent.

Recently I purchased a 1998 Volvo C70 Coupe. I brought to The Model Garage for some obvious repairs, but it was the non-obvious and niggly repairs that they analyzed and handled that made their service great. Finding unusual but viable solutions to these obscure issues shows their ability to go above and beyond the call of duty in car repair. I know they work on other cars besides Volvo's. So call them... if you have a car they can work on, bring it in and let them... and have an experience you normally wouldn't have... Excellent Service.

moved over to model garage from mckevitt b/c MG seems to make sensible changes to the maintenance schedule which save $; they don't seem to 'up-sell' or push work just to boost profit. they are very smart, and personable. it feels like they put more thought and attentiveness into the work than other shops. their rates seem slightly less than mckevitt, but i think the service is better. they also replaced headlight bulbs (on a volvo v70) for me for just the cost of the bulbs, which is really, really appreciated, especially given how hard it is to replace those bulbs.

I have been a customer of Model Garage for about 30+ years. The first 4-5 cars were Volvos but now am driving an Avalon Toyoto and continue to get great service. I was willing to change auto manufacturers, but not mechanics!
