Model Garage has serviced our Volvos for over 30 years - and now our daughter, who grew up with the Model Garage, has herself just bought a Volvo and is bringing it here too. We experience Don and his staff as competent, trustworthy, fair, prompt, and effectively communicative. A lot of our friends are also customers here. For us it's a neighborhood place, and we cannot imagine taking our cars anywhere else for servicing or advice.

Yes, this IS as good as it gets, many, many years of fantastic service.....we've been loyal customers since the early 80's........I've told many friends it's like someone you'd want to be married to........and just what you'd want for a repair shop, integrity and never a surprise with your bill because of their great communication skills. We've elected to return here many times for service even after we moved from the east bay. Outstanding!

Words Can not express how happy and satified I am with my experience at The Model Garage. These guys went above and beyond for me in every way! They were very down to earth, explained everything to me and fixed my car right away for a reasonable rate. The evening after picking up my car something else went wrong and I was unable to start the car. They drove to me and helped me diagnose my dead starter on the spot. I was stressed about getting to work the next morning so they fixed my starter first thing that morning, picked me up and, got me on my way to work all on time. I could've kissed these guys. They treated me like family and I will continue to use them for all my car needs. Thanks to all the great people at The Model Garage!

Four & 1/2 stars. My housemate recently referred me to Model Garage and I couldn't be happier. I've been looking for honest and reliable service for years since giving up on the dealer for that! Their prices are extremely reasonable and the staff at the front desk are friendly. They're within walking distance to Ashby BART. The minus 1/2 star is for the fact they're not open on weekends and close at 5:25p on weekdays!
