The service was good, though it cost me $10 to get there to pick up my car--it would be nice if you had a shuttle or something for single people. The car was fixed, well I suppose (I've only had it back for a day), but it was quite expensive--$350+ seems a lot for a battery, but I haven't the receipt by me, so perhaps it was mainly the cost of the part. Certainly it was cheaper than the dealer would have charged. And I know if something goes wrong it will be quickly fixed.

Another good experience with Model Garage. 90,000 mile servicing was done well; they checked with me by phone for go-ahead on replacing a faulty part they detected (leaking water pump). They also found my tires nearly worn out and the place they recommended was also terrific.

The most trustworthy Volvo mechanics in Berkeley. My family has been going to this garage since I was a child. Their repairs are always done well, and they don't force unnecessary repairs on you if you don't want it -- they care about keeping you happy and your car running great. Keep up the good work!

My 13 year old Volvo had a check engine warning. They got me in the next day and did the usual great job.

Prompt diagnosis and repair of our "check engine" problem. Also, they spotted a worn tire which I then replaced the next day. This is consistent with the many years of excellent service they have provided us!

The Model Garage is a special place. First and foremost, they are a trusted resource for me and my family. If our V40 Volvo needs a certain service to run well and be safe, I know they are on top of it and will let me know. Yet I also know they will be honest about choices I can make, say waiting a month on a big service until the timing is better for me so the payment is not burdensome. And price-wise, I know they are charging me an honest amount. Then there's their customer service. They greet me by name when I bring my car in, and offer to back my car out of its spot when I leave. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
